Oh, did anyone notice from the UUP accounts for 2007 that the party paid out £29k as part of an employment tribunal case (see page 4)?
Funny really. Just a couple of months after those accounts were published the UUP leader was key speaker at a Legal Island conference where he discussed how employment can prosper by, erm, ‘building on best practices and striving for excellence‘. I wonder what best practice lessons and examples of employment excellence the UUP leader drew from this tribunal case?
Mmmm, I’m sorry I missed that lecture now.
PS. Can the £29k refer to the undisclosed settlement received by Pauline Lindsay in November 2007?
