A question about UCUNF…

7 05 2010

A quick thought on the UCUNF election…

The UUP’s mission goal is ‘strengthen and maintain the union’. The public clearly wants the DUP to do that (8 MPs, to UCUNFs 0 MPs).

What should the UUP’s mission goal be now?

What do the public want the UUP to do next?

Unionist unity is essential, but as always it will be scuppered by infighting and point scoring! Throughout Ulster, the vote continues to get shredded by numerous Unionist parties. All we need is the Northern Ireland Unionists or the UPNI to be reformed! Meanwhile Gerry Kelly finds himself an extra 4000 voters. Come the next Westminster election Unionists could end up with no Belfast seats. In the 60s three seats were rock solid for the Union , the other marginal, Kilfedder could still win West Belfast in 64! What next Adams claiming “Unionists” are voting for him????
