The past week has seen hothouse talks, shuttle diplomacy involving Prime Ministers, knife-edge all nighter negotiations, threats, spin, counter-spin… and it all happened on Donaldson’s constituency doorstep.

Then we had revelations about the DUP / UUP in secret ‘unity pact’ talks hosted by the OO.

I wonder… would the ex-UUP guy, leading DUP figure, ex-Executive Minister and top Orangeman Jeffrey Donaldson not have a view worth recording on the matter?

A simple google news search, using the search term ‘jeffrey donaldson’, shows that – with devolution teetering on failure, the Tory-UUP pact under pressure (and the UUP about to lose its only MP), and with DUP and UUP figures making real efforts to provide unity candidates – Jeffrey has said nothing much to anyone. Sorry, wait… DeHavilland record Jeffrey really getting his teeth into Infrastructure Planning documents at the Westminster Transport Committee.

But setting aside this contribution, google can’t find Donaldson saying any on the big political story since last Monday. I’m starting to get worried about the little guy. In fact, Jeffrey Donaldson, the Mirick O’Connell attorney that represented Telecast in its merger with cable manufacturer Belden, has been making more recent news.

So having searched high and low, can this be the last piece of correspondence from Donaldson to the outside world? I think we should be told.
